Dr. Keith Schwer is professor of economics at UNLV and director of the Center for Business and Economic Research. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Maryland. Schwer directs research on economic and public-policy issues facing Nevada. A widely recognized expert on both regional and Nevada economies, Schwer has published extensively in academic and policy research. Schwer is past president of the Association for Business and Economic Research (AUBER), and was honored as Fellow of AUBER in recognition of his leadership in regionally focused applied research in business, economics, and public policy.
